We are delighted to inform you that the MRS 2011 - XXXV International Symposium on Scientific Basis for Nuclear Waste Management will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 2nd to October 7th, 2011. A broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines is necessary to provide safe and effective waste management solutions, which includes reprocessing of commercial nuclear fuel, waste form design and development, transportation, storage and disposal packaging, repository site selection, and performance assessment. This symposium offers an important forum for discussion of materials-related issues associated with nuclear waste management programs. Abstracts for both poster and oral presentations may now be submitted through the meeting website at http://www.cnea.gov.ar/mrs2011/ The closing date for submission of abstracts is May 2nd, 2011. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered. Please note that it is necessary to first complete your registration form on the website. We look forward to welcoming you in Buenos Aires.
