Abstract
Amorphous photocatalyst TiOBCN was prepared for the first time. The TiOBCN showed obvious absorption in the visible light region up to 520 nm and 783 nm. The degradation rate of AO7 in TiOBCN solution increased quickly from 0% to 99.46% in 150 min after undergoing solar simulating irradiation. For TiO2 the degradation rate of AO7 is just 57.2%.The experimental results also revealed that the degradation rate of AO7 first increases, and then decreases to a range concentration falling within 5 to 35 mg/L. The optimum catalyst loading for the degradation of AO7 is 400 mg/L.
